Welcome to the home of Flint Hills Wachtelhunds. I am looking for some "real" hunters that may be looking for a good dog. To make a long story short, I acquired a Deutsche Wachtelhund (pronounced walk-tell-hund, also known as German Spaniels) in 1995 from Alaska. I had never heard of the breed but liked what I saw and took the plunge. The result was that my dog turned out to be everything I expected and more. There are now a few hundred or so Wachtelhunds in North America. The Germans have been keeping these dogs a secret for almost a 100 years.
